my nemesis

day 46: as an x-ray tech, the next step up the ladder is to become a CT tech. in order to become a CT tech you have to be able to confidently start IVs on patients. i hadn't stuck an IV since i was an x-ray student over three years ago. when i learned that i had to successfully stick 30 patients during the beginning portion of my CT training, fear struck. i was nervous about hurting patients or having to shove a needle into their skin more than once if i missed/messed up. the first few were difficult for me to jump in to. but over the past few days i've learned to fairly confidently stick patients. yay for me! tiny achievement in my life!
